An Elimination Chamber match is nothing without its eliminations. To celebrate the 38 total Elimination Chamber matches in history, as well as the forthcoming 2026 Elimination Chamber PLE, it is time to look back at the most thrilling and jaw-dropping eliminations throughout this devilish match type's prestigious history.
The chaos and barbarity of a structure built on the foundations of malicious intent brutalizes WWE superstars before discarding their hopes and dreams when they are vanquished by their foes. One victor reigns supreme and overcomes the odds, but he or she does not succeed without remorseless punishment and an enduring effort the like of the greatest iron men and women in history could not withstand. Let's now take a look at how the warriors who have battled inside the chamber's confines met the end of their quest for gold and/or supremacy.

Shawn Michaels Eliminating Triple H To Win The 2002 Elimination Chamber
Shawn Michaels made a miraculous comeback from a back injury sustained at the 1998 Royal Rumble, so when he returned properly and was betrayed by Triple H his former DX running buddy, he only had swift brutal revenge in mind. Michaels achieved this revenge a tad at SummerSlam 2002 when he surprised Triple H with a roll-through pin to secure a very hard-earned victory. However, the cunning Cerebral Assassin smashed his sledgehammer into Michaels' back and caused another (kayfabe) injury to him. The image of Triple H laughing covered in blood showcased his evil gratification over what he had just done.
So when Michaels returned to compete at the 2002 Survivor Series, he was primed to take Triple H's World Heavyweight Championship from him. Triple H fought extraordinarily well, including a true fight against a crushed larynx thanks to a errant Five Star Frog Splash from Rob Van Dam atop a chamber pod.
In the closing stages of the match, Triple H hit Michaels with a Pedigree and got a very narrow near fall. Triple H would attempt another Pedigree, but when nobody thought it possible, Michaels would back drop Triple H and then blasted him with some Sweet Chin Music and thus accomplished his goal of winning the World Heavyweight Champion-even whilst wearing those garish brown tights. This would be far from the end of Triple H and Michaels' rivalry as they'll battle at Armageddon the following month and beyond, but at least we didn't get to watch the two duke it out whilst Michaels wore the tights he put on for his world title defense against RVD. Anyway, this elimination was super sweet because Shawn managed to overcome his nemesis and win RAW's top prize.
The Undertaker's Tombstone Piledriver On Batista At No Way Out 2008

The SmackDown Elimination Chamber Match at No Way Out 2008 had no shortage of epic eliminations from The Undertaker, whether he's chokeslamming the man who loves to fight Finlay from the inside of the ring to the outside and onto the unforgiving steel grate, or his chokeslam to MVP from atop a chamber pod. However, the prize for Taker's best elimination on this night was his awe-inspiring reversal on Batista from the outside of the ring and back over to the inside of the ring. Batista was using Taker's head like a lawn dart initially. At first he successfully rammed Taker's head into the chains, but when attempting a second ram, Taker grabbed the chains with both hands, and as Batista marched back for another ram his back caught the ropes, giving Taker the momentum he needed to reverse the position. Batista helplessly backflipped over the top ring rope and was set in position for a Tombstone, which Taker landed emphatically for a three count, securing his place in the main event of WrestleMania 24.
Batista and The Undertaker's rivalry was always a colossal showdown where each superstar tried to overpower the other to see who the dominant force was on SmackDown, and the fact these two started the match and would go on to be the final two remaining shows just how formidable they were at overcoming the enormity and viciousness of the other challengers including MVP, Finlay, Big Daddy V and The Great Khali.
Jeff Hardy Eliminating Edge At No Way Out 2009

Whilst rare, seeing the WWE Champion becoming the first man eliminated from an Elimination Chamber Match is definitely cause for excitement because this reality paves the way for a brand new WWE Champion. Edge, who had previously regained the WWE Championship by pinning Jeff Hardy after his brother Matt turned heel, was given a dose of karmic justice in an extremely unlikely way.
Edge was setting up Jeff for a spear but Jeff catches Edge with a small package to eliminate him, immediately lighting up the crowd and stunning Edge, who was of course powerless as there was nothing he could do to retain his title now. Edge would later take out Kofi Kingston and force himself into the World Heavyweight Championship Elimination Chamber Match, but for a little bit of time it was glorious to see such a narcissistic and vindictive former WWE Champion get his just desserts.
Chris Jericho, Edge & Rey Mysterio Help To Eliminate John Cena At No Way Out 2009

The last person you'd think would be eliminated so early on in an Elimination Chamber would be John Cena right? John Cena walked into the SmackDown Elimination Chamber as the World Heavyweight Champion, and fans very likely thought that Cena would be one of the final two of the match and most-likely win the whole match because he's Super Cena and Big Match John. However, on this night fans mouths must've been wide agape when Chris Jericho, Rey Mysterio and Edge all combined to eliminate John Cena.
Jericho surprised Cena with his Codebreaker finisher, which staggered Cena as he turned around and position himself on the middle rope, hung perfectly in the the right place for Mysterio to land a massive 616, followed up by Edge's spear to firmly seal Cena's fate and guarantee a new World Heavyweight Champion. The shock value is why this is one of the best eliminations in the Elimination Chamber's grand history.
Shawn Michaels Surprises The Undertaker At Elimination Chamber 2010

When you're embroiled in a war against 5 other men inside a barbaric structure like the Elimination Chamber, the last thing on your mind would be outside interference. However, for The Undertaker this was indeed his reality when Shawn Michaels, a man so desperate to face The Undertaker back-to-back at WrestleMania, decided to hide under the steel grate just to emerge, enter the ring and blast The Undertaker with Sweet Chin Music and helped his former nemesis Chris Jericho to win the World Heavyweight Championship.
John Morrison Crawls Up The Chamber To Take Out Sheamus At Elimination Chamber 2011

John Morrison is one of the craziest acrobats and parkour stylists the WWE has ever seen, so when he decided to scale the Elimination Chamber like monkey inside a cage, it was unbelievable to witness. If there's one way to wipe out the Celtic Warrior Sheamus this was it, and Morrison successfully accomplished this with aplomb.
Santino Marella Upsetting Cody Rhodes At Elimination Chamber 2012

Santino Marella adhered to a Rocky Balboa-like persona heading into Elimination Chamber 2012. He trained hard and he was positioned as the ultimate underdog hoping to become the World Heavyweight Champion.
During the bout at the Elimination Chamber, Santino surprised Cody Rhodes with pin to eliminate him from the contest, and you could feel the utterly jubilant response from the crowd. Santino truly cemented himself as the sentimental favourite and seeing him wipe Rhodes from the match was a superb moment to keep his world title hopes alive.
Chris Jericho Gets Kicked Out Of The Elimination Chamber In 2012

The sequence of events that led to Chris Jericho getting kicked upside the head are of particular note here. Jericho had just caught Kofi Kingston in his Walls of Jericho, and with nowhere to go Kofi tapped out. Jericho held onto the move after Kofi was eliminated, then subsequently decided to assault him further by throwing him over the top rope out on the steel grate and into the unforgiving steel structure.
After this, Jericho hurled Kofi out of the chamber like yesterday's trash, but just as the ref was about to close the chamber door, CM Punk delivered a thunderous kick to the side of Jericho's head, sending him hurtling out of the chamber and knocked out of the match as a result. This was a fantastic way to set up Punk and Jericho's WrestleMania 28 clash, but it felt so justified after Jericho's treatment of Kofi as well.
Bray Wyatt Wins The WWE Championship At Elimination Chamber 2017

Whether you consider this a general or a specific entry relative to the title of this article is irrelevant, Bray winning the WWE Championship was a sight WWE fans had yearned for for a very long time. The unexpected Sister Abigail on Styles and the 1-2-3 made what we felt would never happen come to truly satisfying fruition. Furthermore it was a fleeting title reign, but it was so special for that moment Bray had the whole world in his hands as the WWE Champion.
The Iiconics Eliminate Naomi From The Women's Tag Team Elimination Chamber Match In 2019

The IIconics are a devious duo and they're electrifying on the mic and in the ring with their tandem offence. Admittedly, The IIconics were a more tolerable alternative to The Bella Twins and didn't flaunt themselves as hard.
Anyway, they cleverly eliminated Naomi at the 2019 Elimination Chamber with Billie Kay surprising Naomi with a sunset flip and then Peyton Royce flips over Kay and clutches onto Naomi's exposed legs to secure and trap Naomi into a pinfall and an elimination.
Kofi Kingston's Fall From Grace In The Men's Elimination Chamber 2019

Kofi Kingston was no doubt the star of the 2019 men's Elimination Chamber Match. Kofi's efforts to overcome his opponents and to valiantly give all he could to dethrone Bryan. Kofi outlasted Samoa Joe, AJ Styles, Jeff Hardy and Randy Orton, so it was time to face Bryan one-on-one. Kofi gained great ovations for landing the SOS and the elevated double foot stomp to the chest, as well as kicking out of Bryan's Baisuku knee finisher. Kofi had the fans in the palms of his hands the entire way with fans drawing many collective gasps. However, Kofi decided to go for a huge splash onto Bryan from atop the pod. If this connected, Bryan would've been squashed and would've surely lost his coveted championship. Kofi leapt up and attempted this splash, but crashed down not onto Bryan, but bare canvas instead. The air was immediately sucked out of the arena as Bryan hyped himself up and landed his knee finisher to defeat Kofi and retain his title. This was a truly spectacular performance from Kofi and showed us exactly why he would become the WWE Champion at WrestleMania 35.
The Miz And John Morrison Trap Jey Uso In A Cheating Double Pin During The Tag Team Elimination Chamber Match In 2020
The hectic situation of a tag-team Elimination Chamber Match is definitely a combustible one. John Morrison and The Miz made the most of the explosive elements though, when they captured the WWE Tag Team Championships by creatively pinning down Jey Uso.
Jey sent Morrison over the ropes, but as he did so The Miz surprised him with a roll up and Morrison sunset flipped over the ropes and under Jey while The Miz bundled his legs on the top rope to secure the pin. This of course trapped Jey and he failed to kick out and The Miz and John Morrison won the tag titles as a result.
Drew McIntyre Claymores AJ Styles In Mid-Air At Elimination Chamber 2021

Drew McIntyre's WWE Championship run was marred by its existence during the Covid Era. Drew was on his second reign as WWE Champion heading into the Elimination Chamber 2021, and in front of him were 5 hungry challengers for his crown.
One of those was AJ Styles, who was poised to eliminate Drew with his Phenomenal Forearm, but instead he ate Drew's feet courtesy of a face-crushing Claymore Kick. It's not often we see Drew perform the Claymore while his opponent is attempting to come down on him, but on this occasion we saw the thorough power and lethal potential of the Claymore.
Brock Lesnar Delivering An F5 Onto Austin Theory From Atop A Pod At Elimination Chamber 2022

Leave it up to Brock Lesnar to provide the ultimate highlight and elimination in the Elimination Chamber. Brock already demolished the competition and he only had one arrogant heel to pick off. That heel was Austin Theory, and he was trying to make room for himself from Lesnar.
The two found themselves atop a chamber pod, and despite his will to escape, Theory was caught by Lesnar and was picked up in the F5 position, and dumped hellaciously to the ground. Theory was nothing but Lesnar kill at this point and was pinned after his devastating landing.
Naomi Is Taken Out By Jade Cargill At Elimination Chamber 2025

Returning after months away due to a mysterious attacker's antics leaving her lying motionless on a cracked car windscreen, Jade Cargill returned on a mission to take revenge on the woman responsible for taking her out of action. We expected that Cargill would target Liv Morgan as we thought she was a prime suspect due to previously revealed footage. However, Cargill immediately assaulted Naomi to the the utter devastation of Bianca Belair her tag-team partner.
While Bianca screamed in terror, Naomi was destroyed by Cargill and was forced to eliminated from the chamber match. We were still wondering what was what and why a dancing fan-favourite like Naomi would attempt to wipe out Cargill. Questions remained, but the actions of Cargill left us interested and invested in developments moving forward.
