R-Truth Announces His Release From WWE

Credits: WWE/GIPHY

After facing his "childhood hero" on the most recent Saturday Night's Main Event, R-Truth took to all of his social media accounts to say that he'll be released from WWE.

To legitimize this news, Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful.com has confirmed that he'll be leaving the company after spending 17 years in the company. Starting his professional wrestling career in 1997, Truth is widely known for his work in TNA with the NWA World Heavyweight Championship, and in WWE as a 2-time Tag Team Champion, 2-time United States Champion, and a 53-time 24/7 Champion. Mostly remembered for his top-tier comedic work and for surrounding the locker room as one of the nicest people around, we at SmarKDown wish nothing but the absolute best in his future endeavors.
