The Elimination Chamber event touches down in The Windy City Chicago Illinois with 4 major match-ups on the marquis. Not only do we bare witness to the 37th and 38th Elimination Chamber matches in the history of the WWE, but Chicago's own power couple CM Punk and AJ Lee (although she's from Union City New Jersey) are featured in two seismic championship showdowns. The chance to face WWE world champions beckons as six women duke it out to determine who faces Jade Cargill at WrestleMania 42, and 6 men wage war inside the ominous steel structure to find out who will come out victorious and find themselves across from the WWE Champion Drew McIntyre in Las Vegas, also at WrestleMania 42. Elsewhere, AJ Lee seeks to capture her first championship in eleven years as she looks to conquer Big Time Becky Lynch for the Intercontinental Championship, and CM Punk runs it back with Finn Balor for the World Heavyweight Championship. 4 huge matches are set, but will this Elimination Chamber PLE be one to savour or one to forget?

Women's Elimination Chamber Match

Raquel Rodriguez eliminates both Asuka and Kiana James from the Elimination Chamber match

Match Type

Women's Elimination Chamber

Length

24:00

Winner

Rhea Ripley

Things kick off with the Women's Elimination Chamber Match, with each of the six women involved vying to become the number one contender for Jade Cargill's WWE Women's Championship. In this year's match the participants are Alexa Bliss, Asuka, Raquel Rodriguez, Kiana James, Tiffany Stratton and Rhea Ripley-so there's no shortage of scintillating star power here. Taking their positions inside the chamber pods are Alexa Bliss, Asuka, Raquel Rodriguez and Rhea Ripley, so this means Kiana James and Tiffany Stratton start things out! Just to note before we begin, Michael Cole states on commentary that if you look up the word "superstar" you'll see an image of Rhea Ripley; well yours truly did just that through means of a Google search, and the results included a bunch of images of trainers/sneakers and the 00s pop star Jamelia-so Cole lied to everybody!

Stratton and James start by grappling and attempting to out-power each other. The two implement waist locks and Stratton performs a headlock takedown on James and performs some back flips to show off. James invites a test of strength with Stratton, but instead attacks her and sends her into a corner to shoulder barge her in the ribs, as well as dolling out a mean boot to the side of Stratton's head. Stratton then fires back with offence of her own including a backside attack as James is hanging from the middle rope, as well as a basement dropkick, but James kicks out at one. Stratton attempts as standing moonsault but misses, then James ties the same move and lands it for a two count. James bashes Stratton's head into opposing top turnbuckles. The scrap spills to the outside where James tries to suplex Stratton on the concrete but fails and Stratton successfully suplexes her instead. Stratton attempts a handspring elbow to James but she moves out of the way, sending Stratton crashing into chamber pod while Rodriguez laughs about it from inside her pod.

The first chamber pod is opened and it's Asuka's! James immediately goes on the attack with (as Cole says) a preemptive strike, by bashing Asuka against the glass and chains within the pod. Asuka retaliates viciously by bashing James's head off another chamber pod repeatedly before turning her attention to Stratton in order to do the same. Asuka follows up by a bulldog and takdown of both Stratton and James on the concrete, she then leans on both of them against the chains for a few second. Back in the ring Asuka lands an aerial dropkick to both James and Stratton but gets a two count as she covers both of them. Asuka then kicks both of them whilst they're knelt in a similar fashion to The Miz's It Kicks, but as she attempts to kick Stratton in the head thereafter it is countered until Asuka is thwarted by a Stratton back elbow. Stratton lands two successful handspring elbows, one to James and one to Stratton, but she is countered afterward by Asuka, who lands a big knee to Stratton's face not too dissimilar to a GTS. Asuka mounts and pummels Stratton before the next chamber pod opens.

Alexa Bliss is now out of captivity! She puts on a disturbing look before slowly getting in the ring, but suddenly charges at and barges down Asuka, dropkicks James, tilt-a-whirls Asuka, and tilt-a-whirl DDTs James. Stratton says hello to Bliss, but as Bliss runs the ropes she gets caught by Stratton and she steamrolls her. Stratton attempts Prettiest Moonsault Ever, but is shut down by Bliss. Bliss pulls Stratton's hair down into a tree of woe, sends Asuka into her with a hip attack, and as Asuka attempts a clothesline, Bliss dodges and then dropkicks Stratton in the corner as she is still hung upside down. Asuka tries a German suplex on Bliss but eats a back elbow and James wipes Asuka out with a boot before James is rolled up by Bliss for a two count and Bliss eats a dropkick from Stratton, but as she goes for a cover James attacks her with several knees to the mid-section. James meets Stratton on the outside and bounces her head off the chains a few times, then catapults her viciously into a chamber pod. The seconds tick down again as the next woman to enter the chamber is imminent.

The Eradicator is here! Rhea dropkicks and sends an awaiting James into the chains before she headbutts Bliss and enter the ring to combo-up Asuka with impactful clotheslines and a face plant. She then headbutts Stratton in the chest and crucifix bombs her into Asuka. Bliss smiles at Rhea before she goes onto attack her with an athletic wrap-around move attempt but is stopped by Rhea and Rhea tries to turn the predicament into a vertical suplex, but Bliss exits out and attempts some weak-looking Sister Abigail, but Rhea powers her up for a Riptide attempt which goes awry as Bliss forces herself over the ropes to escape. Rhea bashes her with a back elbow then tries Riptide on the steel but Bliss climbs up the chains to evade that dismal fate. Rhea is then sent into the chains by James, Asuka tries a hip attack but meets nobody and then Stratton dropkicks her out onto the steel.

Eventually the women pack close together and Alexa dives with Twisted Bliss and crashes into Rhea, Asuka and Stratton whilst James narrowly avoids the same fate. James smashes Bliss's head into the chains and then attacks her in the ring but is caught by Bliss in a Sister Abigail position and points to the WrestleMania sign, but out of nowhere Asuka sprays her mist into Bliss's face and James rolls her up to eliminate her. The final entry into the match is then counted down.

Raquel Rodriguez is on the scene! Stratton meets Rodriguez with a hurricanrana but she wallops her into the chains violently. Rodriguez enters the ring and takes out everybody with her power moves. James, Asuka and Stratton attempt to gang up on Rodriguez but she powers her way out. Rhea momentarily stymies Rodriguez's offence, but outside she is swung into the chains from left to right. Rodriguez proceeds to swing Asuka and James into the chains too. Rhea gets on the attack again with a hurricanrana attempt but she is powered into the chains and the powerbombed into the ring by Rodriguez. Stratton's head gets sent into the chains from Rodriguez and as Asuka tries to her martial arts flurry on Rodriguez, Rodriguez picks her up in a fallaway slam position and tosses her over the top ropes so she lands hard on the canvas in the ring. James tries her fare with Rodriguez, but she is instead powerslammed through a chamber pod for her efforts. Back inside the ring Asuka tries a high kick on Rodriguez, but Rodriguez dodges and hits a Tejana Bomb to Asuka onto James and both Asuka and James are eliminated!

Rodriguez, Stratton and Rhea stare each other down and they all strike exchange each other until Stratton performs a couple of handspring stunners to Rodriguez and Rhea. Stratton tries to overpower Rodriguez, but is instead caught in a reverse whirlwind powerslam. Rodriguez and Rhea then battle on the outside and Rodriguez successfully ties up Rhea in a tree of woe on the chamber chains. Stratton then goes outside to duke it out with Rodriguez and is able to reverse a powerbomb attempt into a hurricanrana back inside of the ring. Rodriguez then initiates her power moves onto Stratton in the ring including a nifty corkscrew elbow. She tries for a Tejana Bomb but Stratton slips out but Rodriguez regains advantage momentarily until Rhea surprises her with a canonball attack from the chamber pod. Stratton then lands Prettiest Moonsault Ever and Rodriguez is eliminated!

Jade Cargill looks on with interest from the stands as Rhea and Stratton are the only women left inside the chamber. The two then trade grapple moves and Rhea gains the advantage as she attempts a Razor's Edge, but Stratton escapes and hits an Alabama Slam for a two count. Rhea then lands an electric chair faceplant for a two. Rhea tries a Riptide but Stratton slips out and Rhea is sent into the ring post. Stratton goes for a Swanton from the pod but gets a two-count. Stratton goes for Prettiest Moonsault Ever but is driven face-first into a chamber pod. Rhea then hits her Riptide and wins the 2026 women's Elimination Chamber Match!

Thoughts

This is a pretty good Women's Elimination Chamber match with some very good moves and eliminations. Asuka eliminating Alexa Bliss with the poison mist is a first for an Elimination Chamber Match, and Raquel Rodriguez's strength and pinning Asuka and Kiana James consecutively was great, as was the powerful moves into the chamber pods. Rhea was definitely a great choice to win and she'll no-doubt be a huge challenge for Cargill to overcome at WrestleMania 42. The only real ding to this match was that there didn't seem to be any huge storyline developments nor surprises, which would've made this one stand out that much more, but even so this was a very pleasing chamber match.

Becky Lynch vs. AJ Lee for the Women's Intercontinental Championship

Becky Lynch in shock during her bout with AJ Lee

Match Type

Singles match for the Women's Intercontinental Championship

Length

15:40

Winner

AJ Lee

The winless war Becky Lynch has been battling with AJ Lee since AJ Lee returned to WWE in September has been eating her up inside. Lee has made her tap out out at least twice, and Becky has had enough of this disrespect, which of course leads to this showdown at Elimination Chamber. Lee wants to win her first singles championship in over a decade and rides all the momentum into this one, so let's see how she does here.

Becky starts by imposing her will on AJ Lee by backing her into the corner to show her seriousness and innermost contempt for Lee. Becky goes for a head lock and then shoulder barges her down on the canvas, afterwhich she hangs on the ropes to taunt Lee. Becky returns to another headlock but Lee gets out of it and Lee attempts a couple of quick pins to no avail. Becky also tries to slap on a Disarm-Her but Lee fights it off to Becky's frustration.

Lee tilt-a whirls over Becky and locks in a hammerlock submission which is swiftly reversed by Becky but Lee sends Becky to the outside. Becky barks at the ref and uses her to sneak attack Lee. Lee runs into the corner but gets caught by Becky in an electric chair position, yet Lee stylishly turns her predicament into a a snapmare and follows up with a dropkick to build momentum, but is then caught by Becky and Becky starts assaulting Lee. Becky stomps Lee in the corner and arrogantly taunts to the crowd. Becky weakly clotheslines Lee and goes for the pin but Lee kicks out. Becky gets back on the attack at chokes Lee on the middle rope and stomps away at her. Becky takes advantage with a corner attack then an exploder suplex for a two count.

Becky toys with Lee but Lee keeps fighting back and the two trade blows in the ring until Becky kicks her in the mid-section to break momentum. Lee comes back with a bulldog and the two are down in the ring. Lee builds up a second with with quick attacks, a tornado DDT and a shining wizard for a two count. Becky goes for a Manhandle Slam but Lee counters with a pin attempt that gets a two count, then Becky goes for a pin attempt and gets a two count also. Lee attempts her Black Widow submission finisher but Becky escapes and lands a reverse DDT for a two count. Beck slams Lee's face on the canvas several times, then undoes the turnbuckle but fails to smash Lee's head against it and Lee follows up by tripping her.

Lee goes to the top turnbuckle but is cut off by Becky, who delivers a superplex before getting hold of Lee's arm for an arm bar, though Lee rolls her up for a two count. Lee kicks Becky in the head for a two count, then afterwards the referee puts the turnbuckle pad on the turnbuckle, but as she does this Becky plows Lee into the ref then rolls her up for a two count-not sure how the ref recovered so quickly or didn't DQ Becky but ahh well. Becky got for a high kick on Lee but Lee dodges and Becky kicks the ref instead. Lee attempts a Black Widow and gets Becky to submit, but seeing as the ref is down the match continues.

Whilst Lee goes to check on the ref Becky attacks her from behind, sends her to the outside of the ring and shoves her into the barricade a couple of times. Becky decides to grab a chair from under the ring and throws it into the ring. Lee recovers and then mounts her attack on Becky by throwing her around and into the barricade a couple of times. The two return to the ring where Lee attempts a tornado DDT but is fended off by Becky and then Becky connects with a DDT on the chair as well as a Manhandle Slam but gets a near fall. Becky is in shocked disbelief, so decides to pick Lee up and tries to smash Lee's head against the exposed steel of the still-uncovered turnbuckle but the referee stops this attack from happening. Becky's fury leads to Lee rolling her up for a two-count. Becky goes for another Manhandle Slam but Lee arm drags her way out of it. Becky tries to attack Lee but runs into the exposed turnbuckle, then she finds herself entangled by the Black Widow submission hold and she taps out. AJ Lee wins!

Thoughts

A competitive and satisfying bout to witness as AJ Lee's perseverance helped her whilst Becky Lynch's fury and frustration became her downfall. This match is solid though it could've been longer with more fury from Becky giving way to more mistakes and momentum for Lee. Becky will probably protest this loss on RAW, but she did tap out to Lee and thus lost fair and square. Altogether this was a solid match-up, if nothing spectacular.

CM Punk vs. Finn Balor For The World Heavyweight Championship

Finn Balor looking at the World Heavyweight Championship and looking back at CM Punk

Match Type

Singles Match for the World Heavyweight Championship

Length

Winner

CM Punk

Is it time to turn WrestleMania upside down? This is the quest of Finn Balor, who wants to replace CM Punk as the World Heavyweight Champion so he can be the man to face Roman Reigns at WrestleMania 42. The two already competed for the World Heavyweight Championship on RAW with Punk getting the win, and like last time Balor wants to go at it alone without his Judgment Day stablemates to prove he is the better than the Best in the World CM Punk. So here we are, Punk vs. Balor II in Punk's backyard, does Balor have what it takes to upset Punk's faithful and punch his ticket to the show of shows, or will CM Punk once again prove why he is truly the Best in the World?

The contest starts off with pure wrestling as they tie up and Punk grabs a wristlock on Balor which is then reversed several times. Punk tries a full nelson and Balor returns in kind. Punk attempts a roll-through pin on Balor but gets a quick two-count. Punk gets Balor in a headlock and Balor pushes him into the ropes and lands a back elbow. Balor now has a headlock on Punk and Punk rises just to be taken down with a snapmare. Punk tries to roll into a pin from a snapmare position but gets a one. Back on their feet, Punk catches Balor with a rebound dropkick and follows it up with backbreaker. Punk goes for another snapmare and lands a knee drop which gets a one count.

Punk works the back a bit and tries a vertical suplex but Balor fights out. The two one-up each other with chops but Punk takes control with mounted punches in the corner, but is hung up on the ropes by Balor and he knees Punk in the gut off the ropes. Balor assaults the mid-section with a couple of elevated stomps using the ring ropes, and then takes him to the opposite side of the ring and uses the ropes further assault Punk's gut. Balor continues to assault Punk's gut in the corner and lands a couple of chops and even more gut work. CM Punk lands his shining wizard knee but then finds himself in an abdominal stretch. Punk gets out and the two exchange until they both knock each other down in the center of the ring.

Once the two return to their feet they exchange more blows until Punk goes on a rally and lands his shining wizard/bulldog combo. He tries a GTS but Balor gets out but then throws Balor to the outside and dives through the ropes and onto Balor who lands on top of the announcer's table. Back in the ring Punk lands a top-rope flying clothesline and Balor kicks out at two. Punk sets up another GTS but Balor counters it with a final cut-like move and pins for a two-count.

Balor stomps Punk in the corner momentarily but as Balor charges into the corner Punk gets him in position for a GTS but Balor holds on tenaciously to the ropes. Punk successfully pulls Balor away and attempts the GTS but is countered with a small package by Balor for a two and the ref gets a heel in his face. Punk delivers a swinging neckbreaker for a two-count. Punk tries a sharpshooter but gets kicked in the face by Balor, Balor then tries a suplex but Punk is having none of it and sets Balor up on the top turnbuckle. Punk chops Balor then tries a superplex but Balor fights out and Balor goes Coup De Grace but misses and Punk nails Balor with a shining wizard before crashing down on Balor with his signature elbow drop. Punk pins Balor for a two then Balor surprises Punk with a crucifix roll-up for a two also. Balor takes Punk down with a slingblade and points at punk with both hands and bad intentions before running towards the corner but is cut off by Punk with a clothesline. Punk tries a sharpshooter but Balor gets tricky about it, so Punk switches to an Anaconda Vice but Balor rolls out of it and rolls Punk into a cradle pin for a two. Balor hammers Punk with elbows mercilessly and takes him down with a reverse DDT and goes up top and executes his Coup De Grace for long two-count.

Balor looks towards the entrance ramp connoting the fact he's combating Punk on his own without The Judgment Day's help. Balor tries a reverse DDT but Punk reverses and has him up in a GTS position, which Punk successfully executes but Balor's body lands limply to the outside of the ring. On the outside Punk charges at Balor but Balor lands a slingblade and then dropkicks him through the barricade. Balor throws Punk back into the ring but is caught with GTS that Balor fights out of and Balor connects with another slingblade. Balor dropkicks Punk in the corner but is caught and turns it into a sharpshooter, but Balor makes it to the ropes to breake the hold. Punk drags Balor back for another sharpshooter attempt but Balor gets awkward about it so Punk stomps him several times over. Punk then connects with another GTS and retains his title!

Thoughts

Though this contest between Punk and Balor for the World Heavyweight Championship is a fine wrestling contest, it was also very repetitive and kinda boring. The two men fought hard and there were counters and close falls, but there wasn't much flavour to it. The finish was peculiar and didn't seem built up properly and overall this one was just fine but it could've been much better.

Elimination Chamber Match

Randy Orton

Time for the main event! Six men wage war inside the Elimination Chamber to find out who faces Drew McIntyre in the main event of WrestleMania 42. In this bout we have Je'Von Evans, Trick Williams, Logan Paul, L.A Knight, Randy Orton and Cody Rhodes. Social media and Michael Cole brought up the fact that Je'Von Evans hadn't even been thought of yet when the first Elimination Chamber Match took place as Survivor Series 2002 because he was born in April 2004. Also when Orton surveyed his opponents, Paul almost completely ignored him. Locked inside the chambers are Trick Williams, L.A Knight, Logan Paul and Randy Orton, so Cody Rhodes and Je'Von Evans start things out. Enough babble and preamble, let's get right into this chamber match!

Cody and Evans show respect to each other before get does to some wrasslin. Cody grapples Evans and delivers one of his uppercuts before hoisting Evans up in a vertical facebuster. Evans surprises Cody with a roll up but Cody kicks out quickly. Evans flutters with his flashy offensive moves and a nice knee, after which he covers Cody and Cody kicks out. On the outside Cody shoves Evans hard into the chains and into the chamber pod. Cody gets Evans back in the ring and clotheslines him for a quick cover and a two count. Cody tries another vertical attack but Evans fights out and Evans suplexes him, and already we have the first pod open.

It's Trick Williams! Cody goes to attack Trick but Trick ducks and flapjacks Cody on the steel. Trick then enters the ring where Evans is waiting and Trick lands a Booker-T-like side kick. Evans tries a roll-up on Trick but he kicks out quickly. Momentum is built as they exchange irish whips and Evans connects with an awesome flip kick. Evans dashes up to the top turnbuckle to attempt an OG Cutter but Trick stops him and pushes him towards Cody and Evans nails Cody who is still on the steel outside of the ring. Trick chops Evans hard and then speaks smack to him before Cody lands a Russian leg sweep. Cody works on Evans in the corner until he is taken down by Trick. Cody and Evans attempt a joint attack on Trick but Trick picks them both up and drops them with double uranage for a two-count on both of them. Trick tosses Evans to the outside, chops him against the chains, speaks more smack and then Cody joins them for a chopping fiesta. The countdown to the next pod begins and it opens.

Logan Paul is now unleashed! Well, it doesn't start well for Paul because he is immediately ganged up on by Trick, Evans and Cody and sent smashing into his very own chamber pod. As Cody and Trick nod at each other, Evans comes flying at them through the ropes and crashing straight into them. Back in the ring Evans lands a styling twirling kick on Trick and gets a two-count. Cody sends trick to the outside and he beats on Evans in the corner of the ring. Cody eventually sends Evans over to the steel, but he is then clobbered by Paul-who has of course recovered from the group assault from earlier. Paul spits at Cody, assaults Evans before turning his attention to Trick. Back in the ring Cody tries a flip, flop and fly combo on Paul but Paul strikes his throat before the elbow can land. Another pod countdown begins, signaling a new arrival into the match is about to take place.

It's L.A Knight Yeah! He walks slowly out of his pod and onto the steel staring at Paul, then he attacks and beats down Paul in the corner with repetitive stomps. Knight then clotheslines Cody inside out and knees Paul in the corner. Trick tries to thwart Knight but Knight hits a neckbreaker on him. Knight sends Paul into the chains and two chamber pods head-first. Paul then retaliates and smashes Knight's head into the chains. Paul then decides to scale the chains and stand on a chamber pod and both Evans and Knight meet him up there. Evans and Knight beat Paul down on the chamber pod, then they send Paul crashing into Trick and Cody below. Evans kicks Knight which addles Knight a bit, but Knight hits BFT on Evans and the two are down with their heads hanging over the pod. The last man to enter the chamber is counted down.

Randy Orton has come in to play! Orton clotheslines Trick twice and delivers one to Paul, then powerslams Trick followed up with a powerslam to Paul. Orton clotheslines Trick and send Paul over the top who lands on Trick. Orton performs his double draping DDT to both Trick and Paul. Orton sets up an RKO on the two of them but Knight turns him around. Orton tries an RKO on Knight but Knight DDTs him. Everyone is down in the ring and after a bit of stalling Evans pulls up his knee pads and connects with a frog splash to Trick. After this Paul delivers an almight Paulveriser to Evans and eliminates him.

Paul celebrates a little bit then goes after cody in the corner, but is reversed. Cody goes for a Cody Cutter on Paul but Knight intercepts and devastates Cody with a Burning Hammer for a two-count. Randy then comes by and uppercuts Knight and delivers successive punches to him in the corner followed by another uppercut. Randy charges Knight in the corner but is kicked away and Knight performs his signature elbow drop but stumbles and instead lands a grounded one. Trick comes onto the scene and rolls up Knight but Knight kicks out and tries uranage but Knight slips out. Knight lands a BFT on Trick but before he can cover him Trick rolls to the outside. Knight tries to work on Paul in the corner but is low blowed and rolled up for a three count and Knight is out of here!

Paul looks all pleased with himself and posturing to Heyman and Austin Theory on the outside. He then goes to Cody and chokes him on the ropes from the outside of the ring before smashing his head into the chains. Logan then walks to the opposite side of the ring and to the outside where he delivers knees to Randy but is stopped by an eye poke. Logan kicks Orton in the mid-section and then focuses his attack on Trick inside the ring. Paul lands a punching combo but Trick outlasts it and hits Paul with a side kick. Trick sets Paul up but Paul tries a Paulveriser which Trick escapes, then Cody delivers a Cross Rhodes to Trick but before he could make the cover Paul throws him into the ring post and covers Trick himself for a three-count and Trick is eliminated!

Paul celebrates the fact he has eliminated three competitors in the match-up, but suddenly a masked man climbs the chamber, but is immediately taken down and escorted out by security. The man's mask is removed but nobody seems to know who it is before he is taken away. After Trick is escorted to the back another masked man shows up. He enters the ring, stares down Paul then kicks him in the mid-section and Curb Stomps him, and Cody covers him-so now Paul has to hit the showers. After this the masked man reveals himself and it is none other than Seth Rollins! Cody and Rollins stare at each other before Rollins exits.

Cody and Orton remain and they stare at each other while they're still recovering from this grueling match. They both slowly make their way back to their feet, but out of nowhere Drew McIntyre shows up and blasts Cody in the back of the head with the WWE Championship, and looks to go on the assault. Drew sets up a Claymore but Cody counters and punches Drew multiple times before Drew smacks Cody with a Glasgow Kiss. Drew punches Cody in the corner until Orton turns him around to RKO him and Cody follows that up with a Cross Rhodes, but as Cody recovers from the Cross Rhodes he is immediately dropped with an RKO from Orton and Orton gets a three-count thus winning the 2026 men's Elimination Chamber Match!

Thoughts

Despite some juicy storyline developments, the men's Elimination Chamber Match was mostly average. The athleticism of Je'Von Evans is always a sight to behold, and the action was solid, it just didn't feel unpredictable and exciting enough. The drama of multiple eliminations towards the end was good though, so there's that. Seth Rollins returning was quite expected even though it was still good to see him. Drew's attack on Cody was a surprise and seeing Cody dropped quickly with an RKO was also unexpected. Now it's Orton vs. McIntyre set for WrestleMania, so this leaves questions about what Cody will be doing at the Showcase of the Immortals. So overall the men's Elimination Chamber was fine and the storyline enhancements were neat, but the match still wasn't all that exciting.

Match Rating: 6/10

Final Thoughts:

This year's Elimination Chamber PLE was a disappointment, especially after the fantastic show the event put on last year. The women's chamber match was very good and displayed great athleticism and environmental usage, and a couple of the eliminations were cool like Asuka using her mist to get Alexa Bliss eliminated and Raquel Rodriguez taking out both Asuka and Kiana James. Becky Lynch vs. AJ Lee for the women's Intercontinental Championship was also good and it was enjoyable seeing Becky getting increasingly frustrated and AJ Lee winning the IC belt. Unfortunately Punk vs. Balor was too dry despite being a good wrestling match, and the men's Elimination Chamber was alright with a few good storyline developments thrown in. We shouldn't forget Danhausen debuted inside a coffin which was also inside a big wooden box. So in all this year's Elimination Chamber was largely unexciting and without the spark it needed to make Wrestlemania 42 more anticipated.

Final Rating: 6/10
