Hello, readers! Osborne here to cover up tonight’s special show of NXT on Syfy Network. The show starts with a recap of last week’s unhinged altercations between Karrion Kross and Samoa Joe as we expect something huge to happen this week.
But, we kick things off with a tag team match that is about to hit hard.
Tag Team Match: Tommaso Ciampa & Timothy Thatcher vs Pete Dunne & Oney Lorcan Pete Dunne & Oney Lorcan def. Tommaso Ciampa & Timothy Thatcher by pinfall @12:57 after Pete Dunne hit Ciampa with the Bitter End. Really good match between these two teams. I’ve predicted already that this is going to hit hard and it did so. The return of Ridge Holland is a surprise for me and I’m excited for what’s in store for this powerful upstart. Rating: 3.25 out of 5 stars

Carmelo Hayes’ video package airs, stating his mindset being tailor made ready for the NXT Breakout Tournament. Up next, Samoa Joe is incensed as he is about to address the NXT Universe.
Samoa Joe addresses the NXT Universe Joe asked Regal to come out and explains his conditions to settle the hostilities between him and Karrion Kross. Step one is to accept his resignation letter as an executive of NXT ; step two is to add him in the active roster and the final roster is to make Joe vs Kross official at TakeOver: 36. Regal gave the GREEN SIGNAL and made everything official!!! Joe is officially back to business! This was so good to see even though this was a short segment. Instant hype was injected ahead of TakeOver: 36. Grade: A-

Earlier today, we had a segment from one of the most entertaining storylines in NXT currently between Cameron Grimes and LA Knight as they play golf.
First Round Match in the NXT Breakout Tournament: Carmelo Hayes vs Josh Briggs Carmelo Hayes def. Josh Briggs by pinfall @7:23 after Hayes hit a diving leg drop on the back of Briggs’ neck. Another solid match in this tourney as I highly expect Hayes to be a potential finale contender since he is among the favorites. Rating: 2.5 out of 5 stars

Backstage, we were known on how Kacy Catanzaro & Kayden Carter had their noses poked in the business of Franky Monet as we will see a tag team bout later. But, up next, the NXT Women’s Champion Raquel Gonzalez will address the NXT Universe.
The golf course session continues as LA Knight loses the golf ball in the mudpit and orders Grimes to search for it. Ted DiBiase appears in a caddy and motivates Grimes that he was born to be a champion and he feels sad to see him in this state.
Raquel Gonzalez addresses the NXT Universe and the NXT Women’s Division Raquel made a recap of her showing last week and said that no one is there to challenge her next. Then, Dakota Kai gets the mic and appreciates her as one of the dominant champions of NXT history. She calls out the locker room to step up but no one did, until Dakota Kai smashed Raquel’s face with a kick and made her intentions clear! Great turn of events and a possible change of scenery for the women’s division as Dakota is long overdue of a championship run here. Grade: B+
Backstage, we saw Io Shirai and Zoey Stark still being non-supportive but I accepts a hang out evening with Zoey. We move on to see Mandy Rose having a ear-to-ear conversation with Gigi Dolin and Jacy Jayne. Interesting!

Tag Team Match: Kacy Catanzaro & Kayden Carter vs Franky Monet & Jessi Kamea w/Robert Stone Kacy Catanzaro & Kayden Carter def. Franky Monet & Jessi Kamea by pinfall @3:30 after Catanzaro hit an elevated 450 Splash on Monet. An extended squash to be said. This one is more of a match that improvised the rift of Robert Stone. Rating: 1 out of 5 stars

Wade Barrett had an interview with the leader of Diamond Mine, Roderick Strong. He is poised to be the very best in the business as Malcolm Bivens bills him a #1 athlete. Next week, he challenges Bobby Fish to a match so that everything would be settled. And, NXT UK’s premier match is made official for TakeOver: 36 as WALTER will defend his NXT United Kingdom Championship against Ilja Dragunov in a rematch for the ages.

Tag Team Match: Hit Row (Top Dolla & Ashanthe “Thee” Adonis) w/B-FAB & Isaiah “Swerve” Scott vs Imperium (Fabian Aichner & Marcel Barthel) Imperium def. Hit Row by pinfall @8:51 after imperium hit the European Bomb on Adonis. A decent showing for Hit Row with some green pastures to be worn out, especially Top Dolla. Rating: 2.25 out of 5 stars
Backstage, The Way were really sad to see Austin Theory leave them as they argue the reason behind. All of a sudden, a gift arrives for Indi Hartwell which is a painting from Dexter Lumis with The Way. Johnny Gargano and Candice LeRae get furious and stop her from fantasizing her dream. A match was made by Indi between Gargano and Lumis next week with a condition that if Lumis wins, #InDex will be official or it will be no more.
The golf session continues as Grizzled Young Veterans interrupt them and bark them to leave. But, Grimes counter attacks them with a punch and they have a golf challenge on the boards. Knight fails which infuriates Grimes as he picks the cue and hits the money, and Knight too. Such an entertaining segment as always. This pairing speaks volumes for sports entertainment. Grade: B+
Main Event – Singles Match: Bronson Reed vs Adam Cole

Adam Cole def. Bronson Reed by pinfall @11:14 by hitting the Last Shot knee strike. Good main event with a nice ‘power vs smart’ work scenario. Cole winning was predictable but Reed was experimented as a main eventer and looks like it would work effectively. Rating: 3 out of 5 stars
Post-match, Kyle O’Reilly comes from behind with a chair shot on Cole and follows it up with a brainbuster on the steel steps! Jesus!

Overall Match Rating: 2.5 out of 5 starsOverall Show Rating: 8 out of 10 points
This show was another hit from NXT weekly irrespective of the spoilers we had. Dakota’s heel turn and Joe’s clearance to return were the key moments that took the spotlight while the opener tag was the MOTN for me. the build to TakeOver: 36 is really captivating as it might turn out to be one of the best TakeOver events.
