WWE Wrestlepalooza 2025 Predictions

Updated: Sep 21, 2025

For the first time ever, ESPN will host a WWE event at Wrestlepalooza, headlined by an almighty collision between Brock Lesnar and John Cena as John Cena continues his Retirement Tour. Also, CM Punk and his recently-returned wife AJ Lee will lock horns with Seth Rollins and Becky Lynch in mixed tag-team action; Iyo Skye and Stephanie Vaquer will battle for the vacant Women's World Championship; The dominance of The Vision is put to a stern test as they take on Jimmy and Jey The Usos, and finally but not at all least-Cody Rhodes and Drew McIntyre will clash for the WWE Championship.

The following are a raft of predictions for Wrestlepalooza. Will Brock annihilate Cena in a one-sided beat down reminiscent of SummerSlam 2014, or will Cena overcome Lesnar in a war akin to Extreme Rules 2012? Can Stephanie Vaquer become the new face of the Women's Division on RAW, or will Iyo Skye reclaim the gold? Do The Usos have what it takes to overcome The Vision, or will The Vision continue their supremacy? And, will Cody Rhodes put an end to Drew McIntyre's crusade to regain the WWE Championship, or will Drew McIntyre's quest for the WWE Championship be fulfilled with a crowd and without a short-lived reign? Without further ado, here are the predictions for Wrestlepalooza!

Date

September 20, 2025

Location

Indianapolis, Indiana, USA

Where To Watch

Netflix (worldwide); ESPN (USA); WWE Network (remaining countries)

Iyo Sky Vs. Stephanie Vaquer

Women's World Championship Match

After Naomi had to vacate her Women's World Championship in order to have a baby, there were questions buzzing about who would face Stephanie Vaquer-the rightful number 1 contender for the title. Ultimately, it was decided that Iyo Sky would be Vaquer's challenger for the vacated strap at WrestlePalooza, and thus a huge showdown will take place to decide who's the queen of Monday Night RAW.

Initially, I thought that Iyo Sky would win so that the story of Rhea Ripley finally conquering Skye could take place. However, all the drama Iyo is experiencing with The Kabuki Warriors (especially Asuka) suggests to me this will spill over onto the PLE and cost Iyo the title.

Another question to consider is whether it's too early for Vaquer to win the Women's World Title, and this seems apt considering how little time she's been part of the RAW roster. Does WWE want to make Vaquer a new star right now? In my mind, it's still too early and Vaquer should win the title on a bigger stage than Wrestlepalooza.

  • Winner Prediction: Iyo Sky

The Usos Vs. The Vision

Jimmy Uso & Jey Uso Vs. Bron Breakker & Bronson Reed

I'll be honest, I thought this match-up would be a blow off match on Monday Night RAW, but the match's elevation up and into the Wrestlepalooza card is sensible because of the power and prestige of The Usos. They're one of the best tag teams of all time, and they're squaring off against the current dominant force right now in The Vision.

Bron Breakker and Bronson Reed have run roughshod over Monday Night Raw, and they're looking unstoppable. The Usos meanwhile, have been embroiled with turmoil alongside LA Knight, and the growing problems between LA Knight and Jey Uso are getting out of hand. LA Knight might be a big fixture in this match to move the story along, but it's very clear who wins this one.

  • Winners Prediction: The Vision

CM Punk & AJ Lee Vs. Seth Rollins & Becky Lynch

Mixed Tag Team Match

The boiling rivalry between CM Punk and Seth Rollins has taken another dramatic turn as AJ Lee returns for the first time in a decade to fight alongside CM Punk to take on the primadonna power couple of Seth Rollins and Becky Lynch. Rollins has done all he can to ensure CM Punk doesn't reign as World Champion, and so far he has been very successful, especially with Big Bronson Reed and Bron Breakker by his side collectively as The Vision.

However, with the return of AJ Lee and the format of this match as a mixed tag, the momentum swings towards Punk and AJ Lee in this one, especially because Seth nor Becky's titles are in jeopardy. So, yes CM Punk and AJ Lee will take this one, and I reckon AJ Lee will either pin or submit Becky Lynch to open up an IC title shot. AJ stole Becky's IC title, so she may actually win it soon, and winning this mixed tag bout at Wrestlepalooza will push her momentum ever forward.

  • Winners Prediction: CM Punk & AJ Lee

Cody Rhodes Vs. Drew McIntyre

WWE Championship Match

The feud between Cody Rhodes and Drew McIntyre took a crushing turn as McIntyre hit his Claymore Kick to Cody Rhodes through the front side of the announcer's table. Now, Cody is vying for revenge and Drew is looking to take the WWE Championship for his own because he wants it back after 5 years (not counting his temporary world title win at WrestleMania last year).

Many fans want to see Drew McIntyre become a dominant heel WWE Champion, but with the way the story is bubbling up, Cody Rhodes is likely going to retain his championship - and maybe we'll see bigger match-ups contested in the future between these two. Drew probably should win this one, but WWE's booking tells me that Cody Rhodes will retain and that really shouldn't surprise anybody.

  • Winner Prediction: Cody Rhodes

John Cena Vs. Brock Lesnar

To think Cena and Lesnar have been engaged in wars since 2003, and now 22 years later they're set to have their final showdown at Wrestlepalooza. Brock has always been a formidable foe and it'll be a tremendously difficult task for John Cena to win this war, but he has defeated Brock Lesnar before.

This one is a real toss-up, but considering that Lesnar has attacked Cena with F5s on two separate occasions of late, something tells me that John Cena is going to overcome Lesnar at Wrestlepalooza. It'll be a war of tremendous physicality like it was at Extreme Rules 2012. And much like at that event, Cena will pick up the win. I very much doubt we'll see a repeat of SummerSlam 2014 when Lesnar absolutely destroyed Cena with Suplex City.

  • Winner: John Cena
